Serpentkind is a story that I believe started before I began Elementary School.  I was merely five years of age in a Sunday School class which was studying the story of Adam and Eve being deceived by Satan as as serpent.  The teacher had pictures on an easel to give visual representation of the event.  When she came to the part of Eve accepting the forbidden fruit, she had a picture of her holding an apple and a large snake hanging in a tree.  This confused me with the final picture showing the snake crawling away on the ground.  My question was that I thought it didn't crawl until it was cursed so why is it just a snake in the tree crawling on branches.  Later the Sunday school teacher informed my mother that her son has a vivid imagination.  All of this puzzled me until I finally derived a story of the possible Serpentkind creature that I imagined as a child.  I hope you enjoy the story.
